The Parish Council is notified of all planning applications within the parish boundary and of any alterations to an application.

The council can make representations to the planning authority in respect of an application, and the authority must take these into account when considering it, but the final decision rests with the planning authority.
Members of the public can also comment on a planning application. To ensure comments are taken into account, observations should be received no later than three weeks after the application has been publicised.
